Located in the Ile de France, this spacious medieval castle consists primarily of a strong keep with rounded tower corners. This chateau is surrounded by a thick perimeter wall. Built in the 14th century and finished in the 17th century, it was a formidable stronghold and residence for numerous French kings.
Its design is based on mathematics giving it quasi-perfect symmetry. Most of the castle has by now been destroyed.
