The Alcazar of Almeria (Castle) (Spanish Castles) Located in Almeria, this Spanish castle is in bad conditions today. A thousand years ago, this castle was the second biggest alcazar in Spain encompassing 1430 meters, just a bit smaller than Alhambra in Granada.
The Arabs built this castle with their usual style. An alcazar is as strong as a castle and protects the whole town: this alcazar could accommodate up to 20,000 people inside its fortifies walls.
